Default new rubber

I am in need of new tires I think the 265/70/17 look to small I think a 285/70/17 of 285/75/17 will work but am not sure.
The problem is there arent many options in the e rated tires out there.
will a 305/760/17 fit without rubbing and will they look small?
I like what I here about procomps but they have a very limited selection in 17's
I am not sold on the Nitto's but they are what Discount tire carries and I like to deal with Discount.
I am listening I will not lift the truck and the chrome rims that came on it look just fine to me, ( i am cheep).

here you go... check out the 33" 17's... e-rated. http://www.procomptires.com/xtremeallterrain.html

I have these and have put 50k on them... still going strong and will probably get another 10k out of them. they have never let me down in snow, shallow mud and limited exposure to sand. they are great on the wet pavement & are also great on the dry as you'd expect. Only downside is a little more tire noise for some, doenst bother me any.

I have Pro Comp extreme all-terrain 305/65r17's and love them . They do not rub at all, even at full lock or while flexing. They are E ratred too, and haul just as good as the stock tires . Check out my gallery.

Hey Aaron, which rims do you have? I am considering a rim swap and am looking to bring my tires closer to flush with the fenders/bed and switch to a 35" 17 xtreme at tire. I found a rim and wanted to compare the specs to yours since yours are about as close to what I was after before finding this rim...

Steve05 do you have them mounted on the stock rims and are the stock rims 8x17 I have driven trucks that had a rubbing problem and it can become a safety issue.I have to make some fairly tight turnarounds on the huntung lease and dont want to me damaging the tires or truck due to rubbing.

a 305 will rub most likely, and like you said, e rated is not seen to often in the 285 or so procomps....but procomp i must say is a very good tire when it comes to hauling! like savage said they haul like a stock tire!

No, the rims I have are moto metal 951's 18x9... Mine did rub but I trimmed the fender slightly to fix it. I have a new tracbar on order that will re-center the axle and will fix it even better.

I have pro comp alloy 7089's, they are 17x9's with 4.75 back spacing. The additional backspacing helps with the fender rubbing issue but it is (apparently) not enough backspaceingto make the tires rub the 4-link, which is just perfect .
