I'm new here but just wanted to let those know who are thinking of going 35" tires. I tried a few different combo's and found that you must have around a + 18 or so offset to run a 35" tire with a stock Ram 2500 4x4 truck. I tried a -12 and -24 and niether would work. In fact the -24 offset almost took out my fender when the guy jumped in and turned the wheels to see if it would clear.
I have a set of KMC 18x9 badlands with Pro Comp 35"x12.5"x18" Extreme T/A's and I have a couple inches of clearance all over from all turning angles. You could maybe go with a 0 or -12 with the leveling kit but I'm not sure. I do know that the stock setup with a +18 offset wheel and 35x12.5 tire will work fine.
I have a Top Guns leveling kit and Bushwacker pocket fender flames coming today to finish it off and I,ll try to get pic's up.
Also FYI the Stock Ram 2500 wheels have a +45 offset so the difference from the stock wheel to a -12 offset wheel is around 2.25" . in other words, your tire will stick out about 2.25 to 2.5 inches from stock wheels and then add another 1/2 inch for every inch difference in wheel width.
Example: Stock wheel 17x8 with +45 offset sits flush with fender. My 18x9 wheel with 12.5 wide tire and +18 offset sits about 1.5" to 1.75" past the fender. The same wheel in a -12 offset will stick out around 2.5 from the fender ect.
The farther you stick out from the fender the less clearance you will have when turning and the back (door side outer fender area) of the fenderwell outer edge is what will get hit first. Too much of a posative offset with a wide tire will clear the outer edge of the fender but will rub the inside back wall of the fenderwell.
Sorry if this doesn't make sense, I suck at explianing things.
