so heres my dilema..... i need to replace my air filter in my stock box and its around $30 i think... i am thinking about buying this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...83638&rd=1 but judging by price, its the cheapest so does nayone have this unit or have any comments about it???
on the other hand i can always buy a stock replacement filter for 30 and get a quadzilla xzt 65hp chip instead for around the same price as the K & N stage 2.... i have been tossing these both around in my head for the last few weeks because i have gauges and want a chip now but i need a new filter. to me thats the fun in these trucks is buying one thing at a time and always having somthing to look forward too for the next purchase.. WHAT WOULD YOU DO GUYS[:-]????

At the local Cummins store, the stock air filter for my 07 5.9L is about $14. Which looks just like the one that says Mopar (complete with mouse fur) which sells for about $30.
As for my 2 cents worth... I am not a fan of oiled/washable filters.Make your own decision about the filter element. But finding a intake kit without the air filter isn't always easy, because most sell their filter with their kits.
Oh, but face it.... you've got the bug, so you are likely going to get both, eventually. With the tuner thing, you'll have more fun right away, because you'll be able to blow some smoke.

lol that is true solar... i do have the bug and ive had it even since i got the dam truck!!! but i think i am going to go w/ the chip and maybe a stock filter but they are both somthing i want bad! i am planning on the xzt because i am not looking to upgrade everything or worry about having to much power at my finger tips... 65hp is plenty enough pet for me (atleast for now) and if its going to increase MPG's then i should probaly go w/ that first... also buying them both at once would take the fun out although it has crossed my mind because they are not expensive parts.. thanks for post'n guys!

As you know, I just got the Edge Comp box for mileage purposes. Set at level 2 which is 60 more horse I actually got WORSE mileage than I did before even putting the box on. I'm told that once I step it up to level 3 ( 80 hp)that THAT'S when I'll see the mileage increase.
Stay tuned ....
