Default Brakes Hissing?

On to my next possible problem, hopefully not. Ive noticed that when I have the brakes applied for a stop, and I push them down a lil more, they make a hissing sound, or when I have to brake very quick and hard. Is this normal or a possible problem?

they will make sounds. you have a heavy truck. take a hose a nd rinse em off. make sure the truck has been parked for at least a fe whours so you dont warp the rotors. that should wash off the brake dust and quiet the brake noise. otherwise they are worn and need to be replaced.

Sorry must not have specified enough, the sound is coming from the inside of the truck from the brake pedal.

I had a Chevy that did that since the day it was new. Got rid of it at 40K and it never seemed to be a problem. Mine did it even at a stop if i pressed hard on the pedal, so it wasn't coming from the rotors.

Yeah same here, I'll have to check into I guess, just to make sure its not something faulty or wrong.

Just for your info. Mine is also a 06' 2500 and its done the same thing since day one. Almost sounds like a air brake when you go all the way to the floor. I noticed it like the first day in a drive through trying to dig my money out my pocket. I figured its normal. If not please let me know. I am still under waranty. If it really bothers you, get a buddy to run you up to the dealer, play stupidand test drive a few new ones and see if they all do it.
