Default 5 Lakes Basin Hike...

well, not sure if this is the best way or not but there were too many pics to not share so I made an album here... for those who are interested, have a look.

the hike went well, just under 6 hours total hiking time. It was a good thing I did it as I found a problem with the boots that I will have to fix today. rubbed a raw spot on my ankle of all places. they need better arch support in them so I'll go get some inserts. the length of this hike was approx 6 miles 1 way, 12 round trip. not a whole lot of elevation change, probably under 1000'.

It is awesome up there, pictures do not do it justice. some of the mtn shots loose alot in the picture. Louie had that old mans walk by the end. he still had enough energy to jump into the truck but was quickly curled up in the passenger seat for the ride home. Since we got such a late start (almost 1pm) we didnt really get much for lunch and what we brought we didnt eat until almost 3:30~4pm. We stopped by McD's on the way home for a couple of burgers & fries... damn that dog is spoiled... he even got his w/o onions (supposedly bad for dogs).

Oh forgot to mention, one of the lake pics off in the distance is the one we visited on our Aug 4th wheeling day trip.

pointer/american staffordshire terrier... got him from the spca. thought we adopted the dog from hell as he nearly ripped my arm off when we left the place. 16 weeks of doggie training and time to mature has turned out an awesome dog.

Mayfair... yup, someday. have a phone interview this morning. only downside is they are 77 miles away [:@] But they are up in the Sierra's [sm=bounceybounce.gif] and that would be an awesome place to relocate to if it came to it...

well, I have been sending out my resume and interviewing here and there, just have not found the right position yet. Keep in mind that I also do real estate & loans and 1 transaction can provide enough income for about a month. I was fortunate enough to cover my *** in case this happend so I have no worries. I wont have any worries for about another 7~8 months or so, maybe longer.
