I wish you luck, as well as NC... what are you going to use for a standpipe at the fuel tank?

45 PSI for a fuel pressure? isnt that SUPER high? I know the fass will run around 15 all the time. But I have never heard of 45 psi in fuel pressure?

I just ran outside because the UPS man just came, and of course it was a big white box that said DPP with hte FASS inside, cant wait to start it tomarrow after school!

wish you luck with the fuel system u just got..

whats the diff. between a FASS system and a regular stock replacement lift pump besides the price? I mean is the fass worth the extra 400-500 $ whats so special about them as to a regular lift pump and stock fuel filter?

The FASS has alot more thne just the stock system. It has filters that are larger and last a lot longer, it has a water separator, and puts out more PSI for fuel pressure. Thats all that I know of, but I have only heard good things and im sure someone like Jakebrake could tell you more!

ORIGINAL: macdiesel5spd

just purchased a frame mounted fuel pump from napa for 80.00. specs out at 45psi. it is for a 91 f-150 5.0L. wish me luck, i hope this works.
probably not since diesel is heavier and thicker than gas. . .may last a few months then die.

also the VP44 is more suseptable to the lift pump going out. . .the CP3 wont die if the pressures go down.
