When to add fuel additives for 5.9 2004?
I have a 2004.5 ram 2500 4X4 Diesel. Im in canada and now the temps are about 5 degrees celcius day time highs and overnight is getting to like -5 celcius. When should I start adding anti gel and what kind? Here and there ive been adding the amsoil diesel concentrate. I think amsoil has a diesel anti gel but i cant remember the name.
This is also a winter question but I have remote start on my truck and I can set it to run every 2 hours in cold weather. Would leaving my block heater plugged in all night and the truck starting every 2 hours there shouldnt be a chance it will get to hot idling is there? I know this might be a dumb ?

We haven't gotten that cold yet; but when we do I don't waste fuel or the injectors ideling it at night. Just plug in the heater and add Diesel Power winter blend. You'll do fine.
One thing you might want to look at if it's gonna get much colder is a fuel heater -- diesel likes to gel around 10 F (that is what -15 for you up north).
