Default how long do you plan on keeping it?

for all of you who bought a new cummins......
just wondering how long/how many miles you plan to keep your truck for. I was looking at the prices for diesels and obviously they cost more but if you are able to keep it for twice as long in the long run it seems like the extra money is not that bad of a deal....

I plan on keeping mine atleast 10 years and that should be about 400,000 miles.

[sm=smiley20.gif]I'm with Jimmy on that one, as long as it keeps running good and isn't costing me a bunch in repairs, I'll keep on smokin.

I invested for the long haul. Barring anything ugly happening I'll drive it till it won't go no more.

don't have one yet but If i buy either a cummins or a half ton 4.7 it'll be kept for the long haul. I'm just like my dad. He buys the best he can ge brand new and keeps it for as long as he can. example his 93 f150 4.9 I 6 5 spd OD manual tranny 4x4 rcsb he kept until a year ortwo ago and now he bought his 06 ram 1500 4.7L six speed manual 4x4 and he's in love with it.

I usually trade mine off around 100,000-150,000. I have 61,000 in a year. I will get a new one with the 09 rams come out next year most likely.

Plan on keeping it until it no longer makes sense to keep it. I loved my last dodge and miss it! I'd still have it if it was an option... lota blood spilled in that engine compartment
