I built a prototype board for the electronics and have talked myself into spending enough money to actually put the second Walbro pump on the system. Now that my shooting season is over, I am going to start working on phase 2. Second Walbro and fail over ciruit!!! This will complete the project and get it the way I originally wanted it. If I can find a used sending unit that does not have the in-tank pump, then I will drop the tank and get rid of that pos in-tank system for good!

HeyBob, did you ever figure a way touse that backloading feature on your regulator? If not,maybe since a diesel's vacuum does'nt vary with engine load, you could tap the turbo pressure and send it to the opposite side of the diaphram. Not an engineer, just a thought.
