so u r saying best is to delete cat and leave stock muffler in place?
i wish i tried that way firsts being that a saw zaw and 2' of 4" tubing would of got my ears to here the diffrence for under 15$. then if that wasnt what i wanted i could of got the muffler delete pipe for 65 and then i would of has straight thru exhaust like i have now for WAY CHEAPER and then added an aero if i still wasnt happy. but i started at the top of the ladder instead

but thanks guys... a junk yard would be a nice place to start, if not im sure a truck place would but i know a muffler shop does not carry 4" anything so thats why i was not sure as to where to go. im gonna snoop around this weekend and see what i can turn up and ill let you guys know!

I was thinking about the sound, not the fumes getting into the cab... (If the fumesget to bea problem, just drive faster to blow them further back.) Let us know how it turns out with what you come up with.

BTW,seems like wheneverany of my friends go "snooping" around during the weekend, I get a call about 3 a.m. from jail asking for bail money. (Don't get caught.)

couldnt a guy delete the cat and put 4 inch FLEXPIPE in its place instead of standard pipe? It would be easier to change also

this may sound dumb, but if you are going to scrap the rest of the exhaust, couldn't you utilize a part of that for your "turndown". Like maybe the part that exits the truck back to the first bend? Or maybe the the part that goes up and over the axle? Seems there has got to be a piece there somewhere that a guy could cut out to do the job?

not dumb at all and actually i was under there looking today and seen like you said that the pipe going over the axles and the bend to connect the last peice that comes out of the back of the truck would work out alright for what i need it for.... BUT i want to be able to put the old set up back if i do not like it after a while. i think a junk yard would be the best bet and if not there i will have to spend some money on a chrome tip and say oh well... i am pretty excited to hear how it will sound
