I was wondering what you'll think bout putting a catback system off a gas truck on a diesel. I got a turndown on my now and it dont sound all that great and tought of doin that untill I get something else in the future. Just have a Y from the 3 inch to 2 2.5 inch pipes, I don't think it wouldn't be that bad since instead of one 3 inch, its two 2.5 inch

 

y would you want the catback off a gas truck.. the mufflers are much more restrictive and the tubing is smaller!

 

I wouldn't use the muffler, just the over axle pipes

 

if it were me.....i'd do it. after all, if it doesn't sound bad-***, it isn't.

 

there are soo many aftermarket systems for your truck already... what exit route are you trying to go with?

My question is why is your pipe 3in? 01 stock pipe should be 3.5 and I'd say if anything go bigger, not smaller even though it is 2 pipes.

 

You usually only see that on car haulers, not tractors

 

stock pipe on gassers is mostly 3". . .stock on your's is 3.5".. . .gunna be restrictive.
