But, I think the biggest problem is that niether we nor the oil companies set the price of crude oil.

I think the price of crude oil is set by OPEC... Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Angola, Indonesia, Libya, Nigeria, Qatar, United Arab Emerates and Venezuela. (Some of our favorite countries.)

 

Two reasons for high oil prices

1) Jimmy Carter destroying the nuclear energy business

2) Enviromentalist unable to get policy through the government take things to the socialist court of San Francisco to stop hence the complete halt on hydro and coal

Leaving us soley dependent on OIL!!!!!!!!

Well here we are hydro full time,only 1 nuclear and no coal plant,but in ontario many nuclear and coal plants...
at least we export more oil tan we import,thanks to alberta rich oil area.
