Hey guys I just got home from my work shift, I had the scariest night of my life! To understand the situation fully you need to understand that I work construction for geneva rock laying every type of pipe, from sewer, to culinary.Right now we are on a sewer job for the davis district sewer plant, so the pipe we are laying is 84 inches around! This pipe has to be layed 20 feet in the ground so we use a special shoring system to protect us from the banks caving in on us, I'll try to explain it the best I can.
There is an H that pounds in the ground first and then there are plates that you pound in the sides of the H to create a box.Well around 2 p.m. we are chugging along and I'm in the 450 john deere track hoe pulling the H out of the last box so I could backfill it, and there were certain circumstances that made me have to pull the H higher than normal, well me being tired and stupid accidentally raised it to high and couldn't get it down cuz its up in the air and it's barely hanging on my bucket, keep in mind these H's are like 35 feet long! Well next thing I know the H falls off which I knew was going to happen and it starts falling towards me, STRAIT FOR THE CAB!! Well then this miracle happened and I flinched to one side of the hoe and accidentally hit the control to swing the hoe, and it made the beam miss me BARELY!! It messed the track hoe up pretty bad and came within inches of me, so lets just say I'm going to go to church this sunday! oh and my pictures will be up once I figure out whats wrong with my phone
