Well I finally get around to installing the Bushwacker flares tonight and after 2 hours of drilling holes, installing stainless faux bolts and nuts, and sticking the trim around the edges (why don't the come assembled?), I finally go to mount the first one. I started on the driver side front and, "sum in m bish!!!!".
I discover that I must remove my "C"!!! I had thought about debadgeing beforebut decided that if I did I would leave the "C" and the ram emblem on the tailgate.

I am very proud of my "C" but I will start debadging the whole truck tomorrow. Kinda sucks but oh well, it's all in the name of progress right?
Anyhow, for those who are thinking about getting flares, you will probably wind up having to remove the C. At least on the pocket flares you will. You may be able to get by with the regular flares, I think they are more rounded in shape than these.
Just a little FYI.

Why not just relocate the C to somewhere else. My brother in law put his on the space behind the rear door.

It looks like it would fit fine just below the antenna. I'd keep it for sure. I plan on putting it back on once I steal my other Ram back.

 

What the heck are ya going to do with a dually mayfair[8D]? Park it in the neighbors drive? Looks like your drive is barely big enough for your scoot

Jake, I have been all over this country and seattle is by far the worst place to drive a dually, 8' wide truck and 7' wide lanes[:@]

 

Thats why I don't live or work in seattlein fact I stay away as much as possible
