Do any of you guys know if smarty increases rail pressure (and thus pressure at the injectors) or just change timing and duration?

The smarty doesn't do pressure at all, only timing and during. A good reason it stacks well with a MP-8, TST.. or any box that adds pressure.

I thought smarty did a little pressure increase on the bottom end then switched over to timeing duration on the higher RPM's.

I used to think that too but, apparently it doesn't do pressure at all. The smarty is really all bottom end, that's why the TST stacks well with it. It takes over on the top.

I don't think I'll need to stack mine with anything for a while.
But what I would like to know is this. Is there some kind of monitor I can use with this. Or maybe a set of gages? And if so, do I need to do the installing the pyro thing, or is there already a pyro sensor on the truck that I can plug into?
Sorry but I know nothing about this stuff.

chris. . .just to give you a heads up your VP44 driven truck works alot different than our HPCR trucks. . .I believe your edge box and smarty will stack well for the 2nd gens.

Well, as much as I want one... I'm out. I have other priorty issues I have to deal with... shaking front end (from off roading I'd guess), fuel pump (want to go to a walbro to get the most of my TST when I use it) and possibly steering upgrade. I guess when the time comes I'll just end up forking over the bux for one. The way I look at it, I'd rather have the maint. items done 1st, then add the go fast goodies...
