RUMBLE BEE HOOD??
One of my coworkers has a "rumble bee" hood off a 05 1500 sitting in his garage that he wants to get rid of. I know that the factory scoop is not a actual functonal scoop but I do think it would look much better than the stock hood. No scratches, dents, in perfect shape other than that nasty yellow paint. His son justreplaced it withthe srt-10 hood. He is asking 400 bones for it. I know it will cost a few hundred to paint. DEAL or NO DEAL?????

how did you acommlish that Sharx.... it says right on their site $1400. Did you get a fiberglass hood ? I know the hood itself, unpainted from the dealer is around $600 or more. A big of a surface area the hood has... it's not cheap to paint and have it done right. You did good if that all you paid.
Cracker.... IMO, that's a great deal as long as it's a metal hood. Even if it's not... 4 bills isn't too bad.

I do know this is a dosge factory hood for sure and is meal. I figured 400 was pretty decent if nothing else to have a spare.

$400.00 is not bad for the whole hood. But you are looking at $150.00 to $200.00 for paint. The scoop is $337.00 retail plus about $75.00 for paint. Forum members can buy the scoop for less than retail, but out of respect for the rules of the forum, I do not post prices here. PM me or call me and I can tell you an actual price...
