I will be removing mine soon. a few people have them removed. sharx, Drew, Froger (hers not 05) different people have different feedback. Drew said he liked the results when he replaced teh cat with a aero 4040. Sharx has stacks, Froger said that Mr. Froger thinks it is too loud as he is aging.

I'm missing my cat too. I think it fell off. I don't mind the sound too much but then again I have a muffler on it to keep it a little quieter.

So I'm assuming removing the cat dosn't affect the computer?

What about power and mpg up , down or the same?

It's not going to affect the computer at all, some people see a loss and some a gain. Too little of a difference to worry about. Mine is all straight pipe from the turbo and I love the sound, really turns heads.

I just did a cat delete pipe. . .still running the stock muffler though. . .only noticed maybe a drop of 50F with EGT's.

the only other positive thing I can mention is that my exhaust now smells like what a diesel should and not a propane grill.

Thats the main reason I am doing mine!!! Burns my nose and smells almost like amonia or something. It just plain stinks!

you just have to remembe rthe stock exhaust size is 4". . .but not realy 4". . .most pipe is measured by Outside Diamater(OD) the stock exhaust on these trucks is measured by Inside Diamater (ID) I found some 4" pipe (OD) with flanges on it however it had to be pounded on since the stock exhaust is measured differently[:@]
