Tonite is the first night that I am pluging mine in. Last night it was -5 F(-21 C) and mine started up no probem without being pluged in! I am hoping it will help it warm up quicker in the am! I am also looking into buying a cover for the front to help it warm up!

Well Normy if your firing up fine at -5F i'm definately not gonna worry bout buying one for the short time I'd be in the area gettin around 0 F

Newdodge, I'm just reading this thread, but you could've gotten the cord in Salt Lake at Cummins for around $15 it's what I paid for mine. Sorry bout the slow response.

called cummins but they don't have the part # for the .7l or any CTD after 2004 anyone know a website to buy one need for a 2008 6.7l thank you in advance

the ones for the 2004-2007.4's should be the same. . .exact same engine. . .now the design could have changed for the 6.7's. . .

different I believe because the ebay sales say for 5.9 to 2007...

ok ordered from genosgarage. Comes with teh stock clips too for 32 bucks...

The Cumminswill start easy with out the aid of theblock heater, down to about -10 ~ -20deg F.
The Grid heater "in the intake" are excellent, anddo a good job.
