I feel like I should have done more ...
I feel like such a looser ...
Today while riding into work I'm behind some guy in a VW Passat and as I'm following him I notice that he has like a 6" x 10" American flag magnet on the back of his car, but it's turned upside down. I followed him until we got to a light and when the opportunity arose I hopped out, tapped on his window, and kindly told him that someone ( thinking some kids had messed with him ) had turned his flag upside down.
He said " I know "
I said " You did it ?"
"Yep"
"On PURPOSE"
"YES"
I was stunned, andI just called him an a$$hole and went back to my truck before the light turned green. I wound up haveing to follow this guy for about 2 more miles because we were on a one lane street and the more and more I thought about it the more and more it really pissed me off. He eventually turned off and that was it.
I feel like I let someone down. Myself, my family, my country ... EVERYONE !!
How would you have handled it? Honestly ... I know you'll say " I'd ram my Ram up his azz" but seriously, how would you handle it?

but in serious thought, thats a shock and awe type thing to where you will never have the right words off the bat. i can think of hundreds of times ive been in simular situations where i drive or walk off hating myself for now saying more or being more clever.
the guy seems like am *******, ******** always get whats theres before the end..... sooner or later its gonna come back at him weather its a broken window on his car, or a broken nose in a place of public.... you just have to hope whenever it happens there are alot of people there to see

upside down flag = country in distress. (note* if a school or other facility flys it upside down, they are in dire need of help ..as in hostage situation, etc)
remember that this is the LAND OF THE FREE HOME OF THE BRAVE.....THE GREAT AND POWER U.S. of A. !!!
he may be an ars, but we are all entitled to our own infinate opinion no matter how hard it hurts our patriotic hearts.
you should have told him to "have a great day, a merry christmans, and GOD BLESS THE USA!! "ending with a proper salute
that would have done more psychological damage to his thinking than calling him names.

I feel he's quite disrespectful.... and I think the next plane the Osama Ya Momma has hyjacked.... it should drop out of the sky and land on his car... But at the same time... in respect... You should have lit it on fire and let it burn... in his car or not... ... hmm... distress? had'nt thought of it like that.... hmmm...
I wouldnt worry too much Mayfair. You did the right thing by saying it was upside down. Just turns out he was an *******, AND I GUARENTEE YOU HE IS NOT A VET!!!

I just feel like I let my counrty down. Thousands of our soldiers are over there fighting for the right to let us fly our flag - ANY way we want, butI just feel like it is a HUGE level of dissrespect and I should have done more to honor my fellow countrymen.
Sucks
I just wasn't ready for this guy to admit that he did it on purpose.

You did more than what I would have done. I doubt I would have said anything to the guy. One, because you never know what type of crazies you run in to and two, an upside down flag may mean something that I'm not aware of. There's been plenty of times where I've inserted ole size 10 into mouth and have been slowly learning to keep my mouth shut. Know knowing what it means, I might say something.
I remember the first time I saw an american flag patch facing the wrong way. I later learned that the patch is sewn on the sholder of the soldier to appear as if they are flying the flag like in the civil war days when there was a flag carrier.
