Default More Problems

I was driving home a few minutes ago and my truck studdered at a stop light. The CEL came on, but it still ran fine. I got home and the codes said P0193 Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit High Input and P0299 Turbo Underboost. I just had a new lift pump and turbo put on 2 weeks ago. I was getting these exact same codes before. The real problem ended up being a plugged cat. Could my Power Puck be causing these codes? During the time I've been writing this my Quadzilla Recon showed up. I haven't even opened it yet. I took the puck off just to be safe. I guess I'll drive it and if the codes go away then the puck is the problem. The thing that really sucks is that I've had the truck for 5 months and I have not been able to go 2 weeks without a problem.[:@]

i have simular codes when i first put my quad XZT in and i was told to unplug the wires and put dielectric grease on the fittings and it cured the problem... my truck even almost stalled on the freeway going about 70 during the time when those codes came up at me but the grease solved it all

Thats a good suggestion. I really hate to think that I wasted $165 on the puck.

those codes sound more like you dont have a good connection to your rail and MAP sensors.

nick. . .my truck did shut off. . .good thing I have a stick and was able to keep the power steering and brake booster running till I pushed the clutch in. . .cleaned the ground off and problems went away.

Yea the puck connects to those two sensors. I'll get some dielectric grease tomorrow along with the 21/64" bit and 1/8NPT tap that I need to install my Recon. By this time tomorrow I should have a working boost, egt, and trans temp gauge.

I got the puck right after I got the truck or about 10k miles ago. My truck has only been running really good for about 2 weeks. Prior to that I had a plugged cat and the thing was a dog. Since I finally got it running I have ran two tanks of diesel. 1 stock, 1 with the puck. Mileage has been exactly the same, but power is greatly improved with the puck. It has much more low end power on either setting. I like the puck because I can switch from stock, to 60 hp, or 90 hp on the fly. I think it is a lot of power for the money. I got mine for $165 at http://www.thoroughbreddiesel.com/diablo/power-puck.htm. It is also really easy to install. It takes about 5 minutes, quicker after the first time.
