Default tps info??

ok guys and gals, I have been searching the internet for info on a TPS and what the signs of malfunction are.

THE INTERNET SUCKS DONKEY B@LLS !!!

is there a trouble shooting guide to the tps units on our cummins???

I am slowly loosing my kick down on the trans when I floor it. It catches less and less. there are no vac lines to the trans, just the ecm and tps (for the most part).

the turbo spools fine, but the trans does NOT respond with the kick and power like it should [:@]

any ideas?????????

I can get the TPS for under $300 locally, but would rather buy a less expensive part to fix the prob at hand..

I no fixy, I no race in 08 [:@]

It doesnt sound like its your TPS. If it was the tps it wouldnt want to rev up when you hit the petal.

You can check the tps with a voltmeter. But I dont know what it should read for your truck.

clean it and you'll eliminate it as a potential problem...

Steve

does the tps control the signal to the trans that tells it to "kick down" when you mash it????
