They arent too bad to do, although on mine the nuts on top of the front shocks were really rusted on there so it took some effort getting it off there without stripping the nut. The thing I found the easiest was to hit it with some PB blaster and then cut a hole in the top shock boot and grip the top part of the shock with some vicegrips. Then it was pretty easy to get the top nut off instead of holding the shaft with a wrench on top. Once they were off, it probably took 5 minutes to put the new ones on and I put some antisieze on there to make sure it would come off again without the headache of the first time. The backs were gravy.

So which of the 2 styles do you guys choose:

5100 that come in a nice silver that they say are for lifted vehicles ($287)
or the Heavy Duty with the lovely yellow/blue combo ($268)...

EDIT: I keep forgetting this is not in my sig- The truck is lifted abotu 4 inches.

You may not be able to use the silver one if you don't have it lifted. I could be wrong but I think there are different shocks depending on what lift you have. If you put a taller shock on the back with no lift and you bottom it out, who knows what would happen. My guess is destroy the shock but could damage other stuff too.
