That is hilarious. I have a friend that used to go to the Canoga park and the Encino jiffy Screw. even though I offered to service her camaro for free (just buy the parts) I love it.

That really pisses me off, but I'm not surprised. There is a Jiffy Lube just blocks from my house and I can't trust them to put the correct grade of oil in. So I've been changing my own oil most of the time.

I never let the quick lube places touch any of my vehicles. Talk about your rejects for employees. Just about everyone I know that has ever used them has had bad experiences.

Unbelievable, yet at the same time not surprising. I do most all the service work on our vehicles, but on the rare occasion I just don't have time to do an oil change or whatever, I use a locally-owned place. Never one of the national chains. Even with the local shops, if I have any hint of a reason not to trust them, I hang out by the vehicle and watch everything that goes on.

This is corporate America today. From the lowest-level employees to the corporate offices, they don't care. As long as the revenue keeps rolling in, that's all that matters.

Regardless of what I'm buying or what services I need from someone, I've gotten to where I always try to use a locally-owned place where I know the business owner is on-site or close by. Besides keeping money circulating in local economies rather than being funneled off to China or some corporate tower across the country, you avoid junk like this.

My old roommate had a 3000 GT VR-4 and the JL forgot to put tranny fluid back in his 6 spd. Well 20 miles later, no more tranny. After like 6 months of court dates etc. Jiffy Lube had to order him a new tranny from somewhere in europe to the tune of 5000$ not including install. So I do my own maintenance
