Probably the same as everything runs on Vista. It makes software act like a Ford. Runs slow and sluggish if it runs at all.... and you never know when something will catch on fire.

 

Vista is fine to use. It's what i'm using. I don't know that i can sole any problems you guyus are having but, you do need to make sure and install the driver first. Then you also download the smarty.exe which loads the software onto the smarty.

If you're getting a error saying smarty software not recognised, make sure you are trying to install the correct software for your truck S-03 or S-04.

You also have to download the 7-z program to unzip the files downloaded. What I did was, I made a folder called Smarty. I download the software into that folder and unzip it to that folder. That when I open the smarty.exe I know right where to go to choose which software I want to install.

Just letting everyone know that I figured out my Smarty Software undating issue. It turns out that the serial number tells me that I have S-06 Smarty even though it has S-04 on the back of the unit. I was trying to load S-04 update files with an S-06 Smarty. I have been able to update the files for the S-06. This had me stumped for a long time I have spent hours trying to update the Smarty and kept getting file not compatible with version of Smarty.

 

Good to know someone got software right for vista... All I know is Vista has been a real pain in my butt at work with all the incompatible drivers and software that doesn't quite work 100%.
