thanks drew. just wondering how the power was along with the mpg, compared to straight diesel fuel. plus if the mods still preformed the same.

It will work, but it must be HOT or you will have problems. Jimmy lives in AZ and I believe he posted that it is not hot enough there to run it. You will need to add a second tank with a heater in it to run it winter weather.

Basically you will need to start out on D2, get the engine and oil good and hot, then flip over to the WVO. Then before you get to your destination, you will have to flip back over to D2 to flush out the WVO. If you don't get it all out of your fuel system, it will solidify in your fuel lines, filter housing, etc.

Also, I have talked to a few guys that run it and they all suggest that you get rid of the stock lift pump and go with the FASS version that is specifically made for WVO. WVO is much thicker than diesel.

yep. i have been reading up on it. looks like alot more people would be running it, as high as fuel has gotin here lately. i am really thinking about giving it a try. kinda hate the hassle of getting the veggie oil though but if i can save the money the say and still get the performance, it is worth it.

Good luck trying to find any used oil. I have been trying to find a source of used oil for over a year. I'm glad I did not spend the money building my processor.

Most places now have contracts with companies that bring in the new oil and take away the old for one flat fee. The last restaurant manager I talked to last week said it is like "renting" the oil. These companies have all rights to the used oil and the restaurants can't give it away.

The days of getting free waste oil are long gone.

I will tell you from experience that there is little to no performance loss, I have not noticed it. One problem is the cold weather it does not like it It was 30-40 degree's in Phoenix and truck dod not want to start. In the summer time when we have low's of 102 I am going to go straight wvo. I was mixing it 25%wvo and 75% pump diesel.
