Default oil leak

i have a 99 ram 3500 with about 250,000 on it, runs great but has a pesky oil leak. Seems to be coming from the vacuum pump. i replaced the fitting on the bottom of the pump and also the braided line that goes to the engine block. Still have the leak from that area. Anyone have any idea?

Are you sure it isn't comming from the bypass hose?

There is a gasket (# 9 in pic) where the pump bolts to the timing case...Check there...

It is most likely the shaft seal. Read this post and order the kit from the website. I had the same deal and this fixed it up.

Ditto on the shaft seal, between the vac pum and the ps pmp, seal fits around power steering pump input, not too bad to change and usually always the fix.

It's your shaft seal. Go to www.fixinrams.com. I used his kit. It was cheap, came with all of the parts and tools and even has a video to show you how to do it.
