Default 600 mile club.

FINALLY! I made it into the 600 mile club at 605.3 miles at 32.2 gallons. No additive, Smarty 30hp w/ timing. 600 miles has been my goal since I bought the thing and it took a road-trip into Canada to pull it off. YAY. Next goal will be 650 miles... but that may take 19.5 inch wheels and manual hubs. Been gone a while, feels good to be back and done with the holiday preperation, mess, and clean-up.

Congrats on making the distance. I see that on the your average was 18.79 mpg! Not bad, what was the terrain like, what was your average speed or rpm's, and did you have any adverse winds. I find that I have a big difference of milage depending on the direction of the wind. Those stiff head winds kill me!

I have a 50 gal. Transferflo tank in the bed combined with the main tank gives me 84 gal. If I had the same milage as you were able to get, say on 80 gal. I'd see around 1500 miles! Sounds great but fill up time's a drag.

I've been away also, deer season has been wiping me out! Glad to see ya back and finding the high milage.

Yup, 600 miles is good number. My last trip I got 611 on just over 30, that's when the fuel light came on.

The was pushing 20.2 or 20.4 and it was on winter blend fuel leaving NY.

From home to Whistler Canada was 245 miles each way... Temp was about 45 degrees when I left, 23 degrees when I got to Whistler. During that tank, I never started the engine cold... block heater was plugged in every time it was started. The terrain was flat until I had to climb a series of twisties up and down hill for about 65 miles in and out of Whistler from Vancouver. Didn't run into any particularly stron winds. Spentsome time in 4wd to get into whistler and then to and from the house I was staying at andto the slopes... Just drove with economy in mind, held RPM between 1300 and 2000 as much as possible. On the freeway I cruised at 65 with cruise on, a couple times I hit 70+ but just briefly. I could never hit 600+ during my regular commute, but this trip was a good way to flex the economical side of the rig. I usually run B20, but this trip was definatley non-bio. OH! and I had two good-sized tree rounds in the bed to aid with traction in the snow... probably 500lbs. or so... just enough to take the edge off the harsh ride on a long trip.

I can do 600 with the smarty on 70hp,usually fill up between 550 -600 cause once my low fuel light comes on fuel prices go up or gas stations get farther away....don't wanna risk it lol
