Default Is DIY possible for rear slider

Busted the left side rear slider and have been getting prices and so far I got 535.00 the lowestfor a manual and I guess Dodge type, need to call and ask him what type it is, I thinking of ordering a Lawrence as it has metal around the edges.

Question is I can order the power slider for 550., so if I can do it myself, I order the power one and upgrade, I had it on the DAK and liked it, but 250. more than manual, but if I can do it and I have replaced windshields before.

These are glue in just haven't heard anyone trying it here yet, but would like to know if it can be done and how may tools do I need to buy.

I've replaced glued in glass as well, windshields, fixed side windows... and if it were my truck... I'd take it somewhere and have it done... in and out in a day and backed by some kind of guarantee.

Trouble is most the people here don't seem to have been in bussiness for long and there real good at changing names, you go back and they tell you that wasthe old company.

I like to do it myself and add the power slider, but don't want to pay 900. to get it done.

I guess we don't have any glass guys here.

This is not an easy install even for the pros. I can get you the "how to" if you decided to try...
We always call a glass company to sub it out....

Don't get the manual slider!!! Any road dust gets in the window seals and because the slider is lose fitting the "squeaking" of the window will drive ya crazy!! Power slider is nice, but is it worth the trouble and expense?
