I NEED HELP WITH THIS ONE BOYZ!!!!! HELP!
MY BUDDY HAS A 2007 DODGE RAM 3500 DUALLY WITH THE 6.7 IN IT, AND ITS JUST TOO DAM QUIET, SO AS FAR AS WE KNOW HE CANT CUT THE CATS OFF OR IT WILL VOID HIS WARRANTY? CAN HE GET AWAY WITH GUTTING THE CATS? OR IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE? JUST ORDERED STACKS FOR IT BUT WHATS THE POINT OF STACKS IF ITS GONNA BE QUIET? ALSO IS THERE ANY PROGRAMMER OUT THE THAT WONT VOID THE WARRANTY? PLEASE HELP!!!
there is an exhaust kit in the works that removes the cat and DPF. . .I'm not sure of who it is but I do know it exists. there is also a 'black box' that is sold with it to keep the compoter from entering regen mode.
there are a few programmers out on the market, however you need to be carefull with how it is used and weither your dealership is ok with you running it.

www.hsperformance.com sells the exhaust kit. Its bad %ss
My bad, HS Performance is the company, the website is www.dieseltruckchips.com
but what im worried about is having a brand new truck that cant even pass emissions. and its not even that i care about passing emissions as much as i just want to be able to have a valid inspection sticker on it so i dont get pulled over all the frickin time. and the message im getting from that website, and i could be getting the wrong message, is that if i do this to my truck, then when i go to have it inspected, it will fail. so ill have to drive around with an expired sticker in my window and get pulled over all the time. if i can be assured 100% that this is not the case, ill do it in a heart beat.

That is a legitimate concern. After many years of being ignored, emissions have arrived for diesels. While Texas does not do an emissions test on Diesel trucks today, that could change in the future. My personal opinion is that you'd be crazy to tamper with the 6.7L emission system. I know some of you guys don't care about emissions of your truck, but going around blowing black smoke is going to lead to a crack down on diesel trucks. I'm all for getting the maximum performance out of our trucks, but we should do it with the cat / emissions intact.

i too live in texas, but i didnt know that texas didnt do emissions testing on diesels right now. so theoretically, i could take it all off, and use that kit to keep it from throwing codes and still pass inspection and be 100% legal on the roads for the time being? but if later on down the road, they decide to make emissions testing a requirement on diesels, will those that do this now still be legal under the new requirements? i know about being legal under a "grandfather clause" but would that apply to us since technically our trucks were supposed to have them to be legal all along and the state just now started testing?
