Like the apes, had them on my softail and loved them. Also, to adjust a quote I have seen here, "horsepower is how fast you enter the garage, torque is how far into the garage you get"

Just a thought for you, It was 29 this morning here inSC and I decided to change my oil. I did not have my truck plugged in so I cranked it and let idle for about 5 min. The fast idle did kick in so I cut it off and dropped the oil out. I could not believe it, the oil was still fairly cold. I have changed my thinking now about plugging it in and letting it warm up. I always figured 5 min was enough, Not anymore.

That's freaky that after 5 minutes of running the oil was still cold. I would have never guessed that.

The book says that?

I always plug mine in when it gets below 50.

I was a little nervous last week when it was in the 60's with my winterfront, however the Ram kept it's cool just fine. I had my knife on me just in case I had to cut the front off.

My buddy bent his fan on his 92 (who knows how) Anyway he took it off a few weeks ago and has been driving it ever since without it, He is a gear head and is liking the few extra hp. Im just wondering how in the heck its not running hot. Cause we still get into the 60s and 70s here during the day. He was hauling 10 round bales of hay with a gooseneck this morning and it was still not running hot. If I tried that on my 04 it would scorch it.
