who makes the best intake manifold
I'm no expert on this but, I'll be happy to give you my opinion.
I've had the stock, CFM and now the ATS. It's a general consenses that intake mainfolds don't do much of anything for you. IMO, they're more for looks than anything. There's some dyno #'s out there trying different intakes and what I've seen, the gain doesn't match the cost. Slightly better spolling and gains of hp under 5hp
AFE has a new intake out that's really nice but, if you want my opinion... get a CFM. It's probably got the smoothest flow of all the intakes. They also make them now with ports for injection. I kept the ATS on because is has ports built in for injection and my CFM didn't. It was sold. I know someone making some stainless steel intake too that are less than most other but, they're made to order so it might take a while to get it. Let me know if that interests you.
IMO, your money would be better spent on a quality lift pump, gauges if you don't have them ( didn't say in your sig ), some injectors, save for a turbo ????? It all depends on what you want to do with your truck and if you want your warranty intact .

I agree with Triton. I can't remember hearing from anyone that their truck ran night and day different once changing manifolds on a basicaly stock truck. They sure do LOOK cool, however I think it all ends there.
thanks for the info i havent relly desided what im gonna do to the truckbut before i get too wild. i need to get another one for a daily driver and keep this one for my toy. so when i do break it i have somthing to drive ill prob give the new motor another year then buy a new megacab. so the general consensis is to save my money for other mods . thanks for the help
I might be talked into putting back on the stock intake and doing a mileage comparison against the ats manifold. not sure what that would tell you as far as hp/tq #'s go but at least you'd know if you gain or loose mileage vs the stocker...
