Xtreme Liner Bed liners?
Anyone ever hear of Xtreme Liner spay in bed liners?
Well I have been at it with my Dodge dealer since June when I bought the truck. Long story short, they owe me $700. I have been credited $295 of that to Chrysler Financial. So I called again today and went off on the Finance manager and then the Sales Manager. He offered to just go ahead and cut me a check and mail it to me. I said HELL NO!! I have heard that for the last 7 months. I told him I would just rather take it out in accessories.
So I am getting a spray in bedliner tomorrow. They used to do them with Line-X but I have been told that Line-X went out of bussiness. The place they take the trucks to now does "Extreme Liners".
I did A little research and this is what I found.
Q. Does your equipment heat the material or do you spray cold?
Our equipment has electronically controlled heaters that heat the material to a set temperature, usually 140F. This lowers viscosity of the product giving you a finer textured bedliner.
Q. How much material do you spray on a truck?
Spraying a bedliner requires 3 to 5 gallons of material, depending on the size of the truck and if over-rail protection is applied.
Q. Is your material polyurethane or polyurea?
Our material is a hybrid blend of polyurethanes and polyureas. Most of the products on the market that are described as polyureas are actually hybrids. The truth is that both have their benefits and strengths and only a blend offers you the best of both products.
Q. Can I use my truck right away?
Yes, your new liner will be ready for light duty use right away, but we recommend you wait 24 hours before heavy duty use.
It seems to be very simular to Line-X. Hopeing someone can chime in on this before I have it done in the morning. I don't want some faded out crap liner in the bed in 6 months!!

I called the shop that will be spraying it and they said the same thing. They use to spray Line-X exclusively but said they had to find a product simular to line-x and they found it in the Xtreme liner.
I have no clue so I'll just go ahead and have it done.

I am a vortex dealer on the side when not at my day job. Here is what I can tell you. I have never heard of Xtreme liner but new ones pop up every year, Line-X isnt out of business maybe that particular shop did but not the franchise itself.
All three major bedliners are made of a two part polyurethane and polyurea blend, if they are spraying at 140 degrees I'll drive to Texas and do your truck with a custom graphic for FREE the material is around 85-95 and once mixed it may get to 125 but no higher and thats only for about 15 seconds. Changing the viscosity doesnt affect texture, the way you manipulate texture is done in two ways either high pressure air when spraying or lowering material flow not viscosity its the same once it dries no matter what more air eqauls finer mist, less material equals the same result. Line-X sprays high pressure at distance and we spray low pressure at close range.
I don't know anything about these guys so Im not gonna dog on them but I would stick with Line-X, Vortex, and even though I think its ugly Rhino. I can only tell you how the majority of us do it, in all honesty the biggest thing even with the DIY liners is proper prep. The 24 hours is normal but I tell my people go ahead and use however you want just don't wash it with a pressure washer in the first 24. If you get it done get us some pics I'd be interested in seeing their product. They are kinda vague in their answers but they should be fine sounds close enough to me.

I will get pictures up sood as I get it back. May be next week though as I am also having some warranty work done. I have had a "sticky" speedometer problem ever since I bought it and have had it to the dealer twice but they can't duplicate the problem. Seems to only happen when it's cold out. Well it's cool enough here latly where it sticks and jumps in 3-5 mph incriments all day now. So they should have no problem seeing it.
In the mean time I will be enjoying driving a 2008 CTD loaner truck and free fuel. I see a new burnout video for the Show of Force video in the near future

RE: Xtreme Liner Bed liners?
First I heard about line-x myself. The one near me is so busy it has a waiting list. Searched a little on the internet and could not find any info about not being in business. Did find that they recently formed into two different divisions, one called franchise development and the other is industrial coatings. The industrial coatings division will have a booth at the world of concrete convention/trade show (never dreamed there would be a concrete convention) this month. Maybe the shop lost there franchise, or there distributor went out of business. I haven't heard of extreme liner so don't know about the quality. I have line-x sprayed in my truck and absolutely love it. I was told I could use it for normal use right away, but wait 24 hours before throwing bricks or mounting my fifth wheel hitch. I was shown a just finished repair job (due to acccident), and you couldn't see where the repair was made. Insurance will also cover it for accident repair, which is not the case for some other types. If you go with extreme or any other, tell us about the quality and the price. It cost me $560 to do line-x. Always interested in something just as good and cheaper!
