RE: what type of truck?
Ladies and Gentelmen, on page 91 of the Feb 08 Diesel power magazine there is a picture of the MTVR ( medium tactical vehicle repleacment) with a bare chassis. This family of truck was designed and built by oshkosh to replace the aging Deuce and 5 ton family of truck and can be configured in a variety of ways from cargo to wrecker to tractor trailer config. Drew, I researched a tad and looked it up, but I bet you are the definitive authority here. Pretty certain I am correct though.

The MTVR can: - Ford five feet of water
- Carry a 7-ton payload cross-country and 15 tons on-road
- Climb and descend a 60-percent grade
- Handle a 30-percent side slope with its maximum cross-country payload
- Travel at 65 mph on paved surfaces
- Speed over 12-inch bumps, or half rounds, at 20 mph
- Cruise for 300 miles on a single tank of fuel
- Be transported in a C-130 airplane and by CH-53 helicopter.
