I don't think anyone get's taxed more than your middle class single guy. We totally get HOSED, and I have no idea why. Why the hell should it matter if you're married or not?

Sucks ... [:@]

Actually you would think you would get a tax break for being married. Two combined incomes pumping more money back into the economy, larger house, family related spending, etc that you wouldn't see if you were single. If you are middle classed and married you get beat up pretty good too. I don't get it.

OK, I somewhat understand, still think it's BS. The whole two can live cheaper than one rational isn't always correct, I'm spending on things that I wouldn't if I were single. Uncle Sam is going to get his share one way or another. I'm still paying come April 15th.[:@]

None of that explains how a single middle class guy is going to get some relief.

I am EXTREMELY blessed in that I own my own home outright, and have zero credit card or any other debt. No wife, no kids, nothing. Basically, I owe nothing to nobody. It truely IS a blessing ... until tax time. As a result, becauseof the way I've managed to stay debt free, I have pretty much zero deductions other than charity, so I get HAMMERED come tax time.

Sucks ...

You would think that the IRS would ENCOURAGE this type of living and therefore give me MORE money to go out and spend and thus keep the economy going. Instead, I get taxed to death and don't have a lot of extra cash to toss around. I'd LOVE to see them allow you to claim your health insurance costs as a deduction, or at least get some sort of rebate. This year they say health insurance is going up another 40%.

That's the problem Mayfair, you have no outstanding debt, that's almost unamerican. You can't itemize as alot of us are expected to do and truely get boned. It's the old EZ form at its best, put in line one what you made, send the amount of line one to the IRS. Even itemizing every cent I can legitimately deduct, with a mortgage, kids, charities, etc I still owe after already giving every paycheck. Apparently Uncle Sam feels I make too much money.

I have actually thought about filing a law suite against the federal government. ( yes I know that suposedly, you can't sue the government)They use my tax dollars every day to fund social services for illegal aliens. This means they are breaking the very laws that they have written. Not only are they breaking the law by providing financial assistance for illegals but they are stealing from my tax dollar's to do it.The way I see it, they owe me a refund on every dollar that they can't actually account for that I have paid them. Then until they provide proof that they will not spend my money to aid and harbor these fugitives, I shall not be required to pay federal income tax.Would I win? No but once the national news got ahold of the story, all hell would break loose. It would send out a giant message that we ain't gonna take this **** any more. I am tired of paying for the illegal aliens and the welfare of all the white, black, brown, yellow, ect trash that we have in this country.I am also tired of watching our boys and girls go all over the world to sacrifice their families and lives to keep piece where piece is not wanted. I say letthese countriesdestroy them selves and sit back with a good ole bucket of popcorn and watch it all on CNN.We are the ones who pay for all this **** and I am fed up with it.

Wasn't there an old Jonny Paycheck song "The Hell with the IRS" from the 70's? Still fits today.
