Hi Mayfair, We are starting our 8th year of living in our 5th wheel. Yes, we are in Florida staying warmer than most of the country.I still have the 16' pull trailer I bought in 1974 but it is now used by my younger brothers for hunting season in Colorado. This is our 3rd 5th wheel and it is a Mobile Suite made by Doubletree RV. If you have any questions e-mail me. Take care.

Bigriver has a Doubletree. I think it is a Mobel Suite also.

Hey Bill......how's your Doubletree making out. Yup, I also have one, an Elite Suite. I've had it about 18 months now, a few bumps along the road, but still enjoying it.

We're hitchin up and evacuating Mardi Gras on Feb.2, heading to Disney.
I looked at April 10 thru 12, happens to be on my work week. If it's still a go for a campin-meet, I'll try to make it work on my end.

Nice rig!! You said you got a dually and you are installing air bags?
How heavy is the hitch weight? I run 3500lbs on my hitch with no
need for bags. I run a Pull-rite super fifth 20k hitch. Absolutely love it. They make the super glide for short boxes which is real nice to. Since its 12 degrees outside and have snow up to my knees, I am ready for a camp and greet---say tomorrow?

Bigriver, We have an 05 RE3, yes they all have problems at the first. We got most of the stuff fixed now.I havebeen using the fireplace lately, just love it!! It really got cool here. It was 24 degrees 10 days ago. Now it is75-80 daysand 50-60 at night. Are you planning staying at Disney's or at a park near the area? We stay at exit 14 off I-4 about 45 minutes from Mickey's world. Stop and say Hi. The hitch weight is around 3600 lbs and it is a SRW truck.

Hey Dasnake...........I have a 16k Superglide slider which works fine in my shortbed. totally automatic, nothing to do but just backup. Very well made units, and when I remove the hitch from the bed and lay the rubber mat down, you'd never know the difference.

Hey Bill, our's is an 06' RE3 also. I had to look far and wide to find this design. I have two teenage daughters, and one sleeps on the fold out sofa, and the other sleeps on a futon that replaced the two recliners opposite the sofa. That way they can snooze or watch the tv.
Yes, we're staying at Fort Wilderness Campground. Ya never know, we may cross paths?

Bigriver, we love the layout. Our RE3 has the desk, fireplace, and file cabinet across the back. The cabinets above have glass shelves with the plastic clips. I removed the plastic and used wood to keep the shelves up. Ours only sleeps two and there are hotels for the family. You have a nice looking rig. Have you gone to 5thwheel forums.com to the mobile suite site? They have some good info along with the bs.
