They don't legalize it because they have no means of taxing it. Instead, they waste their money by sending helicopters after 15 year old kids who they suspect to be harvesting marijuana:

Yes that is true about the taxing thing. Since all current marijuana sales are "underground" it would definitely be hard to tax, but once they got the taxing thing figured out the govt. would make a substantial profit off of it. And 02 cummins consider yourself lucky because I'm a diesel mechanic for a Ford dealership, and we have pre-employment and random HAIR FOLLICLE drug screens, and if anyone knows anything about those is that there is no way to "cheat" that test and it goes back up to 90 days or longer depending on how long your hair is and how close they get it from the scalp.
