Microsoft Corp. is developing a method of using personal data such as credit-card information to target Internet users with advertising once they connect to the Web, according to a patent application filed by the company.


Yes sir, just what we all ways wanted more offline profiling, NOT.

 

 

Thats about how I looked when I read about it a short time ago.

 

So if I never used my CC online, I wouldn't have anything to fear right?

 

And I left out one other good part:

In an application disclosed earlier this month, a Microsoft team including Chairman Bill Gates presents a method of collecting information about users' "cell phones, geolocation systems, credit-card information" and other data sources to select and display "targeted advertising."

Hmm. Never tried to write a skin for firefox before.... might be an interesting project while I'm pretending to work next week

 

just downloaded FF and wow what a difference it makes to this forum. Loads way way faster than IE7 did.

Only thing I don't like is the page font. Haven't figured out how to change it yet.

 

Go to "tools"

then "options"

then click the "content" tab and it is right there.
