they need to fix the tundra they have 1st... they suck. one of my former co-workers had one (4x4) and it had a big problem with what they called bed bounce... the frame is not solid front to back like the CTD's...

Like Steve said they need to fix whats wrong now before they bring out a truck with abig diesel engine. Take a look at the photo of a Tundra on this web page: http://www.dieseltruckresource.com/d...;postcount=108
and the long list of problems they currently have and URL's to stories about there problems!

I like the front end, but something about that wheel/tire combination (and maybe the body color?) gives it this toy-like appearance. It doesn't look similar, but it reminds me of those Chevy Avalanches where the bottom half of the body is all plastic. Just looks like a toy, not a real truck.

Hmmm..... 300 HP and 600 lb/ft of torque out of 8.0L? Cummins gets that out of 5.9L, bone stock!

the dang thing redlines at 2600rpm with a max speed of 80. . .that thing is geared WAY low.

I bet the engine would live for quite some time for it being an 8 liter pushing 300hp and 600tq.

I followed the link, and boy, that's quite a list of problems! of coarse, with them being japanese, and the auto savior of the universe, the media ignores any problems with them. As for the 1-ton, it is a project truck with no intent of manufacture (for now).
Man, 300hp and 600lb torque in an 8-liter? Can you imagine what you would get when you turn up the programmer and add a dual
turbo to this thing! Talk about frame twist.....hehehehe
