How to use or read ATTITUDE and PYRO??
This might sound dumb but how do you use or read the pyro on the attitude minitor. My truck is in signature below. Whatever level i put it on 1-6 as soon as I lay into pedal the egts go up to 1500 in 2 seconds and my attitude alarm beeps. How can a person use the chip without going over 1200? Or can you allow it to go up there? do u get what i mean. I can be driving along at 60 mph and egts will be like 750-800. I stomp on it to pass and egts shoot up to like 1500 in 2 seconds and the alarm goes off on the attitude. How can you use the chip without going over 1200? even at stock setting it goes over???__________________
Are you sure you have the EGT probe setup right? It sounds like you may have a bad connection on your EGT wires, or maybe you have the wrong type of probe? That doesn't sound like numbers you should be getting, no question about that.
when i had my quad xzt (65 horse) it was pretty hard to get the EGT's to go over 1350, now i have a power puck (60/90 horse) and the 60 horse setting will shoot up to 1400 in the drop of a dime, the 90 horse setting is even faster getting up there with no limit. so i think that its not a fault set up you got. my thoughts on it being that ive used 2 diffrent box's is that they all produce power a little diffrent than each other and some maybe change pressure so much that things get way to hot to fast. but this is just what i am thinking, it could be day and night from whats really happening
When I had my edge/juice I never ran over level 3, when I would merge onto interstate the egt's would go up to around 1300 until the rpms got up then they would level out. I dont have cat but had stock intake on with a high flow drop in, maybe your cat is blocked?
No. my CAT and stock muffler are gone. Its just the factory 4" all the way from turbo to the tip with just a AERO4040xl in place where the cat was. So basically str8 pipe. I have ****** whistler intake. heres a pic of it.

My alert is set at 1350 and I have never hit it on any setting. I have only used level 4 or 5 a few times cause of my slip-o-matic. I still have my cat on.
That's normal for me. Anywhere from 550 to 750 on the highway.
sometimes it says 690 degrees on the highway at 65 mph. is this normal?
I'm trying to figure out how you guy's get these insainly high EGT's. my smarty on SW#4 will top out around 1300 and it takes a little to get there. my TST on 4/3 (95hp) did the same thing. it wasnt untill I strated cranking the TST up and lugging the engine that the EGT's get up there. also stacking smarty #4 and cranking the TST will also do the same, but I still cant get my gage to burry itself much over 1300 when really getting on it.
I'm wondering if the right Pyro's are being used with the gages and they are calibrated together. I tested mine before I installed it and it was dead on with temps and the output of the pyro to the gage. also tested my boost gage and it was less than 1psi out. one of the nice things about wirking in a calibration lab for the military

when i stomp on pedal empty my boost goes up to 27-30 psi . just cruising around town its at 0-1 psi. highway at 65 mph my boost is at like 8 or 9 psi. Are thses correct readings? what else could be wrong. my truck has no codes and runs flawlessly. Ill email edge maybe
