intake desion - help me out!
so i have been looking at a S&B intake for the truck and have found the best price at 269 shipped on ebay, well tonight i found one for 195 shipped and its for the same year but diffrent shape. so i asked the seller and they wrote back that the more expensive one gets better flow but the cheaper one is a fraction of a point better for trapping more dirst and dust....... so im at a toss up is saving $75 or just spending it.....im leaning more towrds the cheaper one but i need your guys help on picking one
heres the first contestant:
Flows 43.0% better than the OE
99.16% Efficient
More expensive
and the second
Flows 39.2% Better
99.33% Efficient
less expensive
i know you all think im crazy but this place is great for second, third, forth, fifth, sixth, ect. opinions

RE: looking on
nothing that i know of.... i know i have heard bad things about k&n, i have heard nothing bad about S&B and the price range is at about a 3 out of 5 so i narrowed it down to this guy buy price mainly, but also reading in diesel power they gave it the best rating for cleaning the air

RE: looking on
Well the expensive one looks to be a better made piece. The attachment of the tube to the box looks stronger, and the box has a mounting "ear" to hold it in place (important with the shaking of a diesel motor). However the less expensive one looks to have a larger filter element. Larger filter = less frequent cleanings. IfI was throwing around my coinI would chose the more expensive one. Always easy to spendsomeone elses money!Good luck!
