injection pump time?
well guys i think my problem is the vp44,its hard to start, easier since i wired the aux lift pump directly to ligh when then power is on but since my aux come up only at 40psi when my truck
was idling my dying stock lift prolly hurt my vp44.... when it run its really strong and all but need much time to start.. i dont know... i just want beasty to come alive in seconds like it did before
make me remember troubles started about 1 week after i tapped the pump.... prolly it was on the downside of the slope.. i remember i got p0216 codes in the past and p0230 last week...
this time ill go whit a airdog or fass and still keep my aux as fail safe....

I'm working on a dual pump controller that uses the in-tank pump as an auxilary and a second pump (Fass, Walbro, etc.)as a primary. I am running one on my truck now. As soon as I get some bugs worked out, I plan on selling it as a kit. When the PSI drops below a set range (mine is set to 5 PSI), it switches over to the backup pump. It also has a toggle switch override that lets you select which pump to use, or put it in automatic mode.

Also, Bob is right, you don't want to push that much fuel to your 44.
When you are ready, I'd go with a FASS over a dog. Their customer support is second to none.
I'll probably go with fass too, but its hard to ignore some things about airdog- there fuel pump is about 100 bucks cheaper, and the unit is serviceable. It also comes with a 6 year warranty.

I was told that the FASS is user servicable, whereas the dog is a sealed unit and can't be serviced. The FASS also has a 6 year warranty, and their customer support is awesome.I'm not bashing the dog as I have zero experience wit it, I'm just relaying what I've read online.

http://www.pureflowtechnologies.com/Raptor.htm If you look there, it shows the pump to have replaceable brushes. Now that I looked around a bit, it only shows that info for the raptor (comparable to the fass hpfp)

The walbro can be changed on the side of the road.

40 PSI is too much pressure. You can kill the VP44 with too much pressure too.
