Default fuel pre-heater??

I've owned this dodge 2500 for about two months... the first week It had to have a transmittion shift module replaced, Last week it wuit and the dealer said it was the fuel pump located inside the fuel tank, $750. later they said that didn't fix it and the high pressure fuel injector pump would have to be replaced. after that replacement didn't repair the problem, they said it was the fuel preheater not heating to fuel inorder to start the engine????? got any clues about this or am I getting the run around ????????????????????????

First of all, Welcome Aboard !!

Secondly, I HOPE all of these repairs are being covered under your warranty !! It sounds to me like they are justreplacing things as they go along in order to fix a problem that they have no clue how to fix.

What was the reason for taking it to the dealer in the first place?

I thought you said that they decided not to replace the in tank fuel pump?

So I'm assuming that all of these repairs are comming out of pocket?

I agree with Mayfair, they charged you for something that did not fix the problem. It probably was not bad in the first place!

I would ask them; why was the high press. pump under warranty, and not the supply pump?

Many trucks are running perfectly without the pre-heater. By the time the fuel that is heated works it's way through the filter and into the injection pump, it's cooled anyway, and since the heated fuel has to travel that distance, the motor will be runningseveral minutes before the heated fuel gets to it.
Tell us the year truck, and what the problem is.
