JD1500, Bigriver is towing an Elite Suite, made by Doubletree RV, the gross wt on that trailer is 18K. I am towing a 36' Mobile Suite also made by Doubletree RV and my gross is 16K. I am towing it with an 08 quad cab, 8' bed w/4:10 rear end. the gross combined is 23K. That is why I bought the truck. We are very happy with it. I am getting my Reese signature hitch installed tomorrow. We are fulltimer RVers and enjoy travelling.

Some time end of this year, i will be looking for a large 5er, since i will be full timing it while at work. So i am making some big payments on my 1/2 ton so i can get a diesel

Looking at 3500 duallys, 4x4, QC or Mega, dont much care, few questions

1) Anyone have any experience pulling with a shortbed, whit type of slider hitch would you reccomend if i went this route.?
2) Do they even make a QCSB Dually?
3) Will i be able to pull a large 5er with the megacab bed? Will turning be almost impossible?

Thnaks for the help guys
I pull a 5'er with a short bed srw. Have a reese 16k slider. Haven't had to slide it yet. Depends on how tight you gotta turna and how the front of the camper is shaped etc. If money isn't an option, Bigriver has the pullright superglide hitch. Its alot more money but its all automatic. It slides whenever it needs to based on turning angle. On a conventional slider like mine you have to pull the lever, lock the trailer brakes and move the truck forward or back to slide it. I only paid $500 for mine installed though. I think the superglides are close to 2k. If you want a mega cab I would certainly shell out the dough for a auto slider though. Those beds are pretty short.

Just kidding man, yeah, that is all your information but, it just displays each persons own info, no one else can see yours,

What's wrong with your current hitch? Did you break it?

Mayfair, I sold it with my truck it was 10 years old. I wanted the new hitch for my new truck. I spend 6 months here in warm FL. I have been researching hitches and the signature hitch is what I decided on. I'll let you know after the long trip North.

On I-4 exit 14 the town is Seffner. Photos will come when I figure how to reduce them.

You can always have photoshop host them for you and them post them from there. Do you know how to use photoshop?
