Dude, I got so lucky having my Dad and his friend do the job for me. I'm truely blessed !! I'm heading back down tomorrow to check it out and to start cleaning up the inside of the trailer. I wish it was warm enough for a good wash and wax. I'll take some beers down and get loaded with Pops tomorrow. I'm sure my Mother will be thrilled.

Wow! very, very nice. Did they pull up the linolium first, or lay it right over top? Looks like a very pro type install. By the response of others here, pops might wake up one morning and see 3-4 more campers in his driveway loaded with laminate flooring and beer!
I would love to join you bigriver, but with the 5'er frozen in the ground and another 8"+ of snow dumped on her last nite, could be awhile before she hits the road.

I would absolutely LOVE to take that trip with you Riv !! I just don't see it happening. I'd like to take at least one somewhat local trip in the trailer before heading on the big road. I've got to familiarize myself with how everything works. This is my very first real "camper". Prior to this, I crashed in my motorcycle trailer which I had no problem doing since I built the thing. I'm still not even sure how to release the poo-poo yet.

I can't believe you are bailing on Mardi Gras. I'd love to experience that at least once. The closest I've come was the fantasy Fest in Key West. What a party !!
Mayfair, you're thinking on the right track. It's good to make a few close to home trial runs before ventureing out into the wild blue yunder.

As far as the dump situation goes, ya got either gray(sink and shower liquids) and then the black
(which you can guess what that is). Only one valve to open, so dump the black first, then the gray, to help flush out the flex hose. A world of advice.......those disposable blue latex gloves are worth the cost!

As far as Mardi Gras goes, man, I grew up on the party, and after a few DECADES of all the hoopla, I'm burnt out on it. I would think that it'd be fun to host some out of towners here to experience their thrills, so we can keep that on the back burner also.
It's a good time to get in the Dodge, and then get out of dodge, since the kids are out of school for a week. Lots of families are doing the same thing..........mass exadus.

See ya'll in about 10 days.........

Ken -since the vinyl floor was already down, they just used that as the backer and laid the laminate right over it. I'm heading down right now ( as soon as teh ladyfriend gets out of the shower .... ) to check it out.

Riv - I'm sure you are gone by now, but if not, have a GREAT and safe trip !!
