lilfroger I was looking at pictures of your truck and was wondering what tires are on it. I know you used to have 35" Procomp's, but the ones on there now look different. Your north of me and with all this snow and ice I'm looking to upgrade my tires. Getting ideas so I can make a decision this week.

Actually Jimmy I don't anymore As Mike said I USED to have Pro Comps.

They are Les Swab tires...35 something or another's. Honestly I'm not happy with them and I would not recommend them to anyone. They are louder than the Pro-Comps ever could be. They are impossible to get balanced. Because of the off-set on these rims they rub on hard left lock to. My Pro-Comps on stock rims never did that.

The truck is back in there today in fact trying to get rid of the vibration that came up when the new rims / tires were put on the truck. If they can't fix it this time they are going to have a very un-happy young lady in there shop...I promise they would much rater deal with my husband...so they better get it fixed today.

lilfroger thanks for the info. I was thinking of buying from LesSchwab but probably Toyo A/t's or M/t's. I've read alot about Procomps on here, but I'm trying to stay with an 17" E rated tire and not neccessarily a 35" although that would give me alittle more lift for snow. Any and all suggestions appreciated. I've got Michelin 265/70/17 on now, great for highway but crappy for everything thing else. Especially all this deep snow & ice. Maybe I should just go up to an 18" that would give me more choices but then I would have to buy wheels also. I kind of like the stock wheels.

If you want E rated in 17" but not quite 35s, then check out the 305/65/17 procomps. E rated and roughly 33" tire. Clears everything perfectly on stock rims.

Honestly Mike, I don't tow very often and when I do it's not usually a big trailer.

I just had these put on a couple months ago, so I can't give you any long term info, but I would not be afraid to hook up and go with them. With E rating and a load capacity of 3195 lbs they should do well considering the stock michelins that came on the truck were only rated at 3000 lbs.

305/65 17's - That's the size that I think I am going with.

I'm going to wait a month though because someone told me that Pro Comp does their buy 3 get on free again in March. That would be my luck though ... get em now and they are 1/2 price a week later.

Yeah I think you're right Mayfair. I bought mine during the October buy 3 get 1 and I believe I heard they do it for March too.

Be careful where you buy, most shops I found suddenly have a price increase on the first of the month when the sale starts.
