Default 6sp Auto ?

Any of you out there have any pros and cons on the new 6sd auto? I have a guy ready to buy my 04 with the manual 6sp, and I was thinking of going to the auto in a new 08. I pull heavy and was wondering how they are performing. Thanks in advance

Pro: Smooth shifting with manual up/down shift toggle. Excellent power and shift response.

Con: Mated to the 6.7L engine (with associated emissions crap).

from what I have heard it does quite well loaded. only problem most are having is fuel economy mainly due to the emissions crap that is loaded on it.

luckily my GVWR exempts me from Connecticut emissions and the second the warranty expires the emissions crap is getting replaced with a 5" turbo back free flow exhaust with regen delete.

nice. . .Here in GA Diesel powered vehicles are exempt from emissions testing due to them being grouped with Alternatively fuel vehicles.

I selected yes

Mayfair, I really dont want to get rid of my 04, But there is a guy that wants it BAD, He offered 20k for it last night. That being said, Ive started looking again. Id rather keep my 04 but 20k plus a warranty would be nice. I ran out of warranty 19k ago[:@],and that means alot when its your office. Either way the deal goes I really dont care.
