Default heaviest towing

What is the heaviest load anyone has ever towed with a CTD. A previous thread got me thinking. Mine is '03 3500 single rear wheel with a 27,500 gross truck, trailer, and load. I am willing to bet someone has gone way past that.

could you tell me your truck max?

mine is an '07, 3500, long box dually, the gvw is 12,200 lbs, my legal towing capacity is between 15,500 and 15,800 lbs, that gives me a legal towing range of 28,000 lbs, to me that should and will be my limit, and i have been working on the truck since i got it last year to make it as bullet proof and tow safe as i can.i'm quite new to the cummins/diesel scene so i don't know all the aspects of this engine, but at a local rv show last weekend there was a tow vehicle made by mercedes that had the 6.7 in it and it was made to pull big and heavy fivers, just my 2 cents.

Not sure what the max was on that truck I sold it over a year ago. What RV show was that Mercedes at? I am going to the Richmond, Va. one this weekend. I'll look for one there.

it was up here in b.c., i may be wrong about the mercedes name on the truck, but i think it was that, but i do know it had a 6.7 in it, and big enough to tow any fiver i've ever seen.

Only pulled about 40 miles (close to rush hour in Dallas FTW)
The only trouble pulling was from a dead stop--way too much tongue weight for the auto tranny.
Once I got going each time, no problem keeping up speed.

if that didnt bring your 48RE to it's knees. . .nothing will. . .50K is a good load even for OTR trucks, much less your tiny 5.9 ISB's.

Way too much
The guy that gave me the grass said each roll only weighted about 1000lbs each. Turned out, each was over 2000 each/with 15 on the trailer...........

I am lucky I didnt break anything..............
