How do you tighten/torque the geno's garage oil drain valve w/ nipple??
hey guys, just changed my oil and was finally able to install the cool oil drain valve from genos. it was the one with the nipple so i couldnt fit my torque wrench to get the right specs. i just used a diff wrench and did it good n tight. what do you guys use with this drain valve?? thnx
I'm actually looking forward to changing my oil this weekend using mine. Put it in last change, this will be this first "clean" drain with it installed.
Dude you are gonna love it !! I saved 3 old Rotella bottles and I drain it right into them. Once one fills up, I close the valve any put another underneath and open it up again. It's SOOO cool !! They could seel that valve for 3X's what they do and I'd buy it.
I installed one during my last oil change. Just like the others, I snugged it up sans torque wrench.
I bought a 5-gal green safety can to drain the oil into, which is a nice way to keep the used oil before I bring it to the local station for disposal.

Thnx for the replys. And yes this was the last messy oil change, sucks i just pressure washed the driveway too. the darn diesel oil wont come off. no more of that!
You love Oil change time and will invite friends over to watch,
I love changing oil now, no tools to grab, and like Mayfair says you keep empty jugs and you could change it one a road trip or anywhere.
Besides if you messed up and put too much oil in it, you could put it back in the bottle, try that with a drain plug LOL
