Default LoneStar 3500. In the NW

Looked at some rigs today. Dropped by a local stealer to look at a 3500 QCSB DRW. nice truck, had the Lonestar package. Not a problem for me, i know its the same as my bighorn package. They just rename em for different regions.

My question is, when i asked the stealer where in the South, SW it came from, He replied it was local. I pointed out the lonestar package, and he again said oh no, it was sold here.

I felt like i was getting a line, and they wouldn't really be my favorite dealer, but is there any way or reason for a delaer in the nw, to end up with a lonestar package? they didnt wanna cough up a carfax until i filled out an app, so i walked.

dang JD I didn't realize you were a Eastern WA boy. You having fun in the cold?

It's just a package the dealer could have ordered it for some reason or another. But if it was used yeah it probably came from Texas.

Down in the south east it used to be called the Thunder Road package....Texas has the Lone Star....there was something else for the North East I think and everyone else got the Big Horn. 08 they are dropping ll but the lone star & big horn I believe.

With the last 8 digits of the VIN, I can tell you who the original selling dealer was......

I'm about 4 hrs from Cour D' Lene, my brother lives in Spokane, and I have a nephew in Post Falls . Snows worn out it's welcome around here this year, still have at least 2 ft. at my place. Gettin tired of plowin the driveway, it's a mile long. Always liked Cor D' Lene, haven't been there for a while.

1000 miles is a long ways though. I live within that of Cour D' Lene and I live in Casper, WY. Also, the person who originally purchased that Lonestar could have ordered it and had it delivered anywhere. I almost bought one myself, but decided against it later. But if Parts/Service is willing to tell ya where it came from, I'd go that route...
