Default Horn Disable???

New Here...I recently bought an 03 3500 CTD. About the only thing I can find that I don't like is that when I'm backing into a trailer to hook-up, I usually let the door open. When I put it in reverse, the horn blows and drives me friggin nuts. Is there a way to disable the horn from doing this...Besides the obvious of ripping the fuse or wires out?

Don't open the door or rip out the wires to the horn. Some idiot ruined it for all of us. There was a recall that made this happen and it is not revirsable.....

Mine did that to me that other night when I was backing up to the garage. This was at about 10 PM, so I'm sure the neighbors were none too pleased. Are there any adverse effects to jumping the seatbelt sensor?

I did turn off the seatbelt alarm, but the horn still sounds if you have the door open and the transmission in gear.

Jumping the seat belt sensor is the same as connecting the seat belt. But if you disable the seat belt alarm, all you are doing is turning off the audable warning. The truck still knows the seat belt is not connected.
You need to jump the connections under the seat to fool the computer into thining you are wearing your seat belt.
